western digital diags 5.04f is looking for the license file on floppy drive A: ezboot cmd run diag504f.ima.floppy drive lights up and program freezes Posted by balder on Mar. 20 2009,02:13
@donrobbinsI just downloaded western digital diags 5.04f and created floppy image. Diagnostic program (floppy image) starts without problems from EasyBoot (doesn’t freeze) but complaining that “No western digital disk is found” witch is true as I don’t have any western hard disk in my computer. Anyway, it seems that there is no problem with western digital diags 5.04f so far. Did you use option EasyBoot>Tools>Make Floppy Image to create your floppy image or did you use an external program ![]() ![]() balder Posted by donrobbins on Mar. 20 2009,14:38
if you don't have a wd hard drive, you get that msg. if you have a wd hd, the floppy light comes on and after a time out you get msg that dlgdiag can't find the license file. dlgdiag actually tries to read the floppy drive. I have created the image file using winimage and ezboot. same results.

@donrobbinsYou probably have right about this, quote: “dlgdiag actually tries to read the floppy drive” and as we try to run it from CD with EasyBoot as boot manager, problems might show up ![]() Still it’s worth a try to use the “memdisk” command? Memdisk is used the same way as “run” command in EasyBoot. Like this: memdisk westdig.img balder |
