Dear All,

I have a GRUB4DOS USB bootable. This USB boots into very well. It goes in this way.
Try (Hd0,0) Fat16 (this is fat16 format) and boots into grub and everything goes well, I can install XP / 2K3 etc.

But on some newer Motherboard (G31 or 945) it fails to detect as Hd0,0 and goes into (fd0), and being set to fd0 I cant install XP setup but MiniXP works.

Help.
Abbas

If it is a FAT-16 you didn’t use easyboot-usb.script to make USB bootable.
Please use MBR-code that this script creates on your USB.
Note: easyboot-usb.script generally uses FAT-32 to USB stick and NTFS if script finds that is dealing with a “fixed disk” (normally a harddisk). Using FAT32 shouldn’t be any problem for you

Test and see if USB stick improves it behaviour :)
