@NoolixAs this seems to be you first post in this forum – I say welcome ![]() Quote: “I want to know how to create my multiboot dvd with windows 7 x86 and windows 7 x64” Answer: You can’t ![]() What I refer to is that EasyBoot itself is not equipped with tools to combine two Win-7 setup-folders. We can only at present time have one folder with same name on the root of EasyBoot (root of EasyBoot is folder disk1 if you wonder). I know I have seen this combination somewhere but this is done with tools from Microsoft ![]() However, you can launch setup of one chosen Win-7 source. Copy everything from Win-7 ISO-file to EasyBoot\disk1 – and use the command in EasyBoot is: run vistaldr.bin Note: check that you have Vistaldr.bin in folder ezboot Nothing wrong with your English – works fine ![]() balder Posted by Noolix on Jun. 13 2010,14:37
Thanks you for your reply I will try this for my multiboot dvd. If you have another solution for my problem, it will be fine. I need this multiboot dvd for my job. Thanks Balder.. Posted by Orochi on Jun. 13 2010,21:01
hello dear friend balder. What would be the right way to do the same but under grub4dos. Would launching the whole ISO to ram work? Thanks ![]() Posted by balder on Jun. 14 2010,02:19
@OrochiQuote: “Would launching the whole ISO to ram work” Unfortunately it doesn’t help ![]() Note: The “cyber-world” is looking for a simple solution to this problem – and the best solution would certainly bee to launch Win7-ISO as it is – but this is not possible as files (from inside of ISO) is needed in “real time”. However – I’m confident that a solution is coming in the near future – at least – he, he before I drop down dead ![]() And it doesn’t help launching ISO from RAM – reasons the same as above ![]() Launch setup of Win-7 in grub menu.lst is something like this: title Setup Win-7 find --set-root /bootmgr chainloader /bootmgr Regards balder Posted by Orochi on Jun. 14 2010,13:17
balder thank you for your response.I am assuming that the contents of my Win7DVD have to be extracted to the root of the USB drive. Is this correct? Thanks. ![]() Posted by balder on Jun. 14 2010,13:25
@OrochiQuote: “have to be extracted to the root of the USB drive” Well – you never mentioned setup from USB – this was about setup from DVD ![]() To run setup from USB I strongly recommend this tool from < HERE > ![]() It includes also setup from USB device for WinXP as Vista as Win-7 and also WindowsPE ![]() Regards balder Posted by Orochi on Jun. 14 2010,13:54
QUOTE Well – you never mentioned setup from USB – this was about setup from DVD Ops ![]() Thanks for the program. I am not sure if it will be able to help me because I want to be able to install Win7 from my USB that already contains other programs which are launched via grub4dos. I think there is no easy way. Lets just say that I am not burning with desire to achieve this but rather due to human curiosity. I think it is much easier to install Win7 form DVD rather than a USB stick. ;) Posted by tridy on Feb. 06 2012,17:36
(balder @ Jun. 13 2010,12:13) QUOTE However, you can launch setup of one chosen Win-7 source. Copy everything from Win-7 ISO-file to EasyBoot\disk1 – and use the command in EasyBoot is: run vistaldr.bin Note: check that you have Vistaldr.bin in folder ezboot When I fist installed EasyBoot, there was Windows 7 setup menu item by default, with the command run bootmgr. So, I extracted all the files from Win7 ISO into disk1 folder and it worked. So, I guess the default setup of the program was changes (after 1+ year) to run/support W7 by default and could be used. |
