Can't boot code error 4Hirens and win 98 is ok but xp dont boot say error code 4 Posted by balder on Mar. 06 2012,07:03
@pawelekQuote: "xp dont boot say error code 4" Could you please explain how you implemented WinXP to Easyboot and which checkboxes you checked when creating ISO in Easyboot ![]() And further more - when do you get this 'error code4' after the first reboot or what ![]() Note: error code 4 is in 'normal case' a typical indication to a hardware problem ![]() But can also be a problem related to how your build in EasyBoot is designed by your self ![]() balder Posted by pawelek on Mar. 06 2012,07:09
I vahe 2 version first version is iso i want only change hirens del old version and add new 15.1 and not work second version i build in easyboot but not owrk Posted by balder on Mar. 06 2012,07:16
@pawelekQuote: "change hirens del old version and add new 15.1 and not work" Sorry I'm confused here... ![]() Is it setup of WinXP you mean or is it problem run 'minixp' in Hiren you mean - I don't get it... ![]() Please explain what you have done a little bit better - have you mixed and old Hiren with a new hiren - or what have you done here ![]() balder Posted by pawelek on Mar. 06 2012,07:20
No hirens minixp Normal xp installation Posted by balder on Mar. 06 2012,07:30
@pawelekQuote: "No hirens minixp - Normal xp installation " Hiren and setup of WinXP has nothing common at all ![]() To integrate WinXP in EasyBoot do as follows: 1. Copy (or extract from ISO-file) everything to folder disk1 2. Use menu command in Easyboot menu: run W2KSECT.BIN Note: Look in folder EZBOOT that you do have a file W2KSECT.BIN - it should be there If not, you have to extract 'BOOT-file' from ISO-file to folder EZBOOT and use that file instead of W2KSECT.BIN. 3. When creating ISO in Easyboot, only check 'Joliet' As told - Hiren is a separate thing and have no influence to WinXP ![]() Another thing... How did you test this build - did you use 'Virtual PC' or similar test system ![]() balder Posted by pawelek on Mar. 06 2012,07:37
Thx i try this method I use 'Virtual PC' Posted by pawelek on Mar. 06 2012,07:46
Still not work
Posted by balder on Mar. 06 2012,08:01
@pawelekQuote: "Still not work" How much memory have you dedicated to 'Virtual PC' (you are recommended to set 256 MB RAM in Virtual PC) ![]() Test created ISO with this tool < HERE > Note: you don't need to create 'Virtual Hard Disk Image' when program asks ![]() balder Posted by pawelek on Mar. 06 2012,08:09
mobalivecd work but virtual pc not work
Posted by balder on Mar. 06 2012,08:15
@pawelekQuote: "mobalivecd work but virtual pc not work" As expected - I already wrote in post nr; 2 - quote: "indication to a hardware problem" Your build is working correctly ![]() Note: if integrating Hiren and you run MiniXP in Hiren, you are recommended to use 512 MB RAM as MiniXP is loaded and run totally from RAM ![]() Basically this issue you have in this case is a 'hardware problem' most likely related to your motherboard - that is why I recommend different test methods and not to forget - burn to CD-RW to do the 'real test' ![]() From my point of view, you have a working solution - continue and integrating more stuff to you build @pawelek ![]() Keep it up... ![]() balder Posted by pawelek on Mar. 06 2012,08:47
Not work :I must start a new version Posted by balder on Mar. 06 2012,09:09
@pawelekQuote: "I must start a new version" I don't understand what you mean with 'new version' ![]() Anyway... A good start point could be to reinstall EasyBoot (which refresh all files in folder Easyboot) ![]() Then start with integrating WinXP using my tutorial in post nr; 6 Note: you cannot be sure build is working correctly when testing in 'virtual environment' - sometimes you need to test in 'reality' (burn to CD-RW) ![]() balder |
