Hi to all, This is my first post to this forum. I have reading the forum from last 2 days, but still not got any solution, So finally I am here to post my problem I'm on the way to make a multiboot DVD, containing WinXP+Win7+Acronis ....or even more...but stuck at Acronis now I have tried with "run acro.iso" command .... boot success but problem is I'm not able to activate "Acronis Startup Recovery (F11) " Testing the ISO on Vmware.... running xp and win7 fine.. I have testing direct acronis iso to vmware .... it works fine and activate the Acronis startup F11 thing. according to me.. .. Acronis can't find files... as iso in ezboot folder so i use bif method ...and put Recovery manager folder in Disk1 but not able to boot with this method Vmware stuck when i click on Acronis menu. Please if some one know about this.... put some light on this Posted by balder on Oct. 06 2012,10:21
@Spacexgen Welcome to EasyBoot @Spacexgen ------------------------------ Quote: "I have tried with "run acro.iso" command .... boot success but problem is I'm not able to activate "Acronis Startup Recovery (F11)" It looks this might be a 'hardware issue' ![]() When you test in VmWare hardware is already found by Windows\VmWare but when run in 'reality' and Acronis is trying to find\initiate hardware, it fails ![]() Note: it not bullet-proof it is this problem, it can also be related to relations between EasyBoot and hardware as well ![]() Could you please test launching Acronis ISO using my script 'easyboot-iso.script' Note: you don't need to tick 'Run ISO from RAM' in script when integrating ISO into EasyBoot Please read carefully 'READ_ME.html' inside folder 'balder' before you start using script ![]() Another advise is to temporary exclude Win7 and WinXP folders while testing integrating Acronis (to speed up and reduce time efforts at this point of testing - it takes so long time having those oither files into build as that part of build already seems to be solved - just an idea) ![]() balder Posted by Spacexgen on Oct. 06 2012,11:10
Thanks Balder,Actually I'm already using a separate project (Excluding other things) for only to test acronis problem.. Sure i will check your script and post the result also... One more thing i tried ... why there is different .bif file size when i opened ISO file in UltraIso and Save boot file .. and if i extract boot file from a virtual cd drive by mounting the same ISO one is only 2048 byte and other is really big around 199 mb I tried by both .bif files 2048 byte bif file give me error ... not able to boot and big one is stuck (hang) Vmware .. by your advise i will burn the iso to USB drive and test.. ![]() Posted by balder on Oct. 07 2012,06:00
@SpacexgenQuote: "Actually I'm already using a separate project (Excluding other things) for only to test acronis problem" Excellent approach to make things smoother ![]() But have you read tutorial in post nr;2 < HERE > ![]() It should work using ISO and menu command; run ***.iso (tick 'Joliet' when creating ISO in EasyBoot) ![]() ---------------------------- regards balder |
