Forum: EasyBoot Topic: Boot from hard drive (local os) not working (USB) started by: EB1000 Posted by EB1000 on May 15 2013,05:16
OKOne more minor problem I ran into when booting ezboot from usb. The command: boot 80 will only cause the menu to reload (booting into usb again) instead of booting from the local hard drive... Is there a workaround for this? Thanks Posted by balder on May 15 2013,06:51
@EB1000Quote: "Is there a workaround for this?" Yes there is a solution to this problem ![]() First of all, problem is caused by that USB device is not the first bootable partition ![]() And when EasyBoot tries to boot from second harddisk, it fails. I'm pretty sure you used my script 'easyboot-usbV2.script' to USB device ![]() Anyway... Solution to problem is to copy 'harddisk.img' from my script-folder 'balder\USB_Resources' to folder EZBOOT and use menu command: run harddisk.img This solves the problem with a breeze If you instead have used 'Burn' in EasyBoot this shouldn't happen Note: in some rare cases EayBoot can fail anyway, and in those cases, you use solution above I also notice you are a dedicated user to EasyBoot - nice things going 'your way' even there are some 'bumps' on the road before everything works alright (same to me in many cases ![]() regards balder Posted by EB1000 on May 20 2013,03:30
