Hi dool

Try this:

Download bootfile from here: http://files.frashii.com/~bootdisk/samgabay/bootmec.exe
Start bootmec.exe and create floppy. When finished, use right mouse button and choose to edit Autoexec.bat on this floppy.

Edit Autoexec.bat to look like this (delete other text):

;>----- Start of text -----<

@echo off

MSCDEX.EXE  /D:tomato /L:X
PATH=a:\;a:\dos;x:\winme
install.exe

;>----- End of text -----<

When done, save changes in Autoexec.bat
Use >EasyBoot > Tools > ”Make floppy image” to create bootable image file.
Note: in “Output file name” change name from “boot.img” to “winme.img” (no quotes).
When done, check that you have a new image file “winme.img” in EasyBoot\disk1\ezboot

Create new folder with the name winme in EasyBoot\disk1
Copy everything (cab files, install.exe and so on) from your winme directory (or from WinmeCD) to EasyBoot\disk1\winme

Use   run winme.img    as command in EasyBoot.

Regards eureka

Hi dool.

I have tested my own tutorial four a couple minutes ago, and every thing works like a charm.

Once again, I downloaded "Windows Me Custom, No Ramdrive  Alt2", created bootdisk from that auto batched exe file and made necessary changes in Autoexe.bat on disk - then made a new img file using EasyBoot, just as I show in tutorial.

Second part, created new folder named winme in EasyBoot\disk1  and copied al stuff (cab files, exe files etcetera) from winme-Cd directory.  Used command   run winme.img   in EasyBoot and it runs smoth, as it should do.

Please, be careful and exactly follow this tutorial.
