Hi,
Just started with EasyBoot today. Look great, but..
Made a menu: Install Xp-pro Install Xp-Home Install W98se Go to Dos --- --
Works great but I can't get the two XP versions running. If I understand the Helpfile well the I386 map must reside direct under the Disk1 folder. But I have two I386 maps (Pro and Home). So I made two subdirectories under Disk1: xppro and xphome, and copied the I386 folder in those two map's. But how do I activate those setup's. Tried to use multiple commands (cd xppro/I396; run w2ksect.bin, tried some other options, but it won't work. I get NTLDR missing, or - when I copy WIN51 and WIN51C to the disk1 folder I get Disk A not foun. How do I setup this kind of menu's?
Someone who can explain in more detail how to do this?
Thanks in advance,
Michel

Please find "Create Nin1 bootable CD/DVD with multiple Windows NT/2000/XP" topic in section 'Practical Guide' of EasyBoot's help file.

Thanks for the response, but I read that pratical guide offcourse, and it isn't clear to me: It states: copy directory I386 from Windows XP CD to C:\EasyBoot\disk1
Allright, that works if I only have one I386 directory, but you can't copy two directories with excactly the same name to disk1. So how do I handle this in detail? Maybe I am missing the point, but can you explain what I have to copy where to build a multiboot DvD with Xp Pro ANS xp Home?
Thanks in advance, Michel

Ok, read the instructions over and over and did exactly wat is written: Made a subdir "xpro" (4 digits) Made a subdir "home" Under disk1
Copied both I386 maps as submap from "home" and "xpro", copied xpbat to the right map's and ran it twice. Copied w2ksect.bin to home.bin and xpro.bin, replaced I386 in those .bin's by home and xpro, edited txtsetup.sif according to the instructions, changed the menu's so they point to home.bin and xpro.bin. Checked the contens of the various maps. Placed WIN51,WIN51C and WIN51IP in the disk1 map (the instructions tell to copy WIN51P, but that file doesn't exist, it is WIN51IP on my Xp-pro cd).
Everything seems right. Burned a ISO. All menu's are working correctly except "install Xp-Pro" and Install "Xp-home". I'm still getting the error: "Invalid system disk, replace diskette and press any key"
Could depend on uppercase/lowercase (I used lowercase everywhere) ?

I will answer myself, so others can learn from it.
YES case is important. Allthough the xpro and home maps are lowercase, the replacement of I386 (uppercase, 1 time) must be uppercase allso, and the replacement of i386 lowercase (4 times) must be lowercase allso.
Now the Xp-home setup run's fine. The xpro setup screen starts nicely, but asks immediately to put the XP-pro SP1 cd in drive.... A: (???).
Some more work to do, maybe it is due to the filename WIN51IP I have in the root of the CD instead of the mentioned WIN51P , or must I copy WIN51IP.SP1 from the root of the XP cd allso to disk1 ?

YES! After copying this file to disk1, Xp-pro setup works like a charme. Nice program EasyBoot, but the helpfile can be improved a lot, and could use lot's more well detailled examples.
So in short to make a multiboot Xp-Home and Xp-Pro (Sp1) multiboot DvD the steps are as follows:
1: Make a subdir "home" (4! digits, no more, no less) under disk 1 and copy the I386 map of the home cd as a subdir of this home map. 2: Make a subdir "xpro" (4! digits, no more, no less) under disk 1 and copy the I386 map of the xppro cd as a subdir of this home map. 3: copy "WIN51", "WIN51IP", "WIN51C" and "WIN51IP.SP1" from the root of the home and Pro cd to disk1 4: copy "wxp.bat" to the maps "home" and "xpro", and run it from those new locations. 5: copy w2ksect.bin to the "home" map, and rename it in home.bin 6: copy w2ksect.bin to the "xpro" map, and rename it in xpro.bin 7: With Easyboot, menu "File" button "Tools", menu "Replace Text" process the following:
- find in home\home.bin the characters "I386" (uppercase) and replace them with "HOME" (uppercase, 4 digits no more, no less), there should be one replacement. - find in xpro\xpro.bin the characters "I386" (uppercase) and replace them with "XPRO" (uppercase, 4 digits no more no less), ther should be one replacement - find in the map "home" the file "SETUPLDR.BIN" and replace the characters "i386" (lowercase) in "home" (lowercase) - find in the map "xpro" the file "SETUPLDR.BIN" and replace the characters "i386" (lowercase) in "xpro" (lowercase) - find in the map home the file "TXTSETUP.SIF" open it with Notepad , find the characters "SetupSourcePath" and change the character "\" at the right to "\home", (lowercase) save the edited file. - find in the map xpro the file "TXTSETUP.SIF" open it with Notepad , find the characters "SetupSourcePaht" and change "\" at the right to "\xpro", (lowercase) save the edited file.
In Easyboot edit the two menu-items for Xp-Pro and Xp-home the Xp-pro menu-item should be: run xpro.bin and the Xp-home menu-item should be: run home.bin
Now create the ISO file, and burn that file to a DvD (r/w is recommended for testing purposes) with Nero or any other tools that can burn Iso files to a DvD.
Maybe some other forum visitors have similar "step by step" instructions for oher multi-boot setups. I think it would be nice to read them, and - in my opinion- it is much more helpfull than to tell someone to read the "manual".
