I followed the instructions in the practcal guide exactly as printed. But when I try to test in Virtual PC I keep getting a pop up asking for the XP cd.
I Copied the I386 folder to XPEN, renamed the .bin to XPEN.bin, replaced I386 with XPEN (in the XPEN.bin and setupldr.bin), modified the setupsourcepath ="\XPEN" (all of this is in the XPEN folder)
Inside XPEN is the I386 folder with the same files. I modified them as well.
How do I fix this?

I think it's because you got some files missing from the CD root.
You need to copy 3 files from the \XPEN directory to the root of the ISO/CD:
WIN51 (for PRO and HOME) WIN51IP (for PRO) or WIN51IC (for HOME) WIN51IP.SP1 (for PRO SP1) or WIN51IC.SP1 (for HOME SP1) WIN51IP.SP2 (for PRO SP2) or WIN51IC.SP2 (for HOME SP2)
Hope that helps.

The installation program of WindowsXP ask me for the original WinXP CD after the first reboot. I hit "OK" and it ask me for the correct path to folder "i386". I answer "d:\xpen\i386" and it continues ok. But it ask me the same twenty times.
I don't know how to avoid this annoying message.
