Hello ManicRead here: < http://www.ezbsystems.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=1286 > You can change BART to UBCD in tutorial to make it easier to recognize ![]() Note: you don’t need to make any changes to winXP i386 folder. Use it as it is! The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 25 2008,01:26
I have followed the whole procedure but me from:CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR I have started alone then the image of the cd UBCDWin it is it gives me: Starting CD... Ok Error: Cannot fing bootimage file (code:5555h): \i386\setupldr .bin Posted by balder on Oct. 25 2008,02:10
Hi again ManicCould you please show me structure of your EasyBoot\disk1 (what files and folders you have in here) ![]() And structure in EasyBoot\disk1\ezboot (what files and folders you have in here) ![]() The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 25 2008,03:40
The folder i386 of the UBCDWin renamed BART
Posted by balder on Oct. 25 2008,04:08
Hi again ManicIt seems (to what I can see) that structure should work okay ![]() Did you modify txtsetup.sif in folder ‘BART’ (open txtsetup.sif and search for 'SetupSourcePath = "\"' and changed this to 'SetupSourcePath = "\BART” ) Did you modify setupldr.bin in folder BART and changed all occurrences of i386 to BART Did you modify EasyBoot\disk1\ezboot\w2ksect.bin and changed all occurrences of i386 to BART Note: you may have another name on w2ksect.bin (bart.bin or whatever, it doesn’t matter any way) This information is only reliable if you use WinXP-sp2 as source for your UBCD4Win build. You can’t use server 2003 as source when building UBCD4Win (BART) because setupldr.bin is locked against hex editing. It’s destroyed if you try to hex edit this file. Only use WinXP as source, it’s 100% reliable. One question: What are folder ‘boot’ used for ![]() The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 25 2008,04:47
I inserted the boot: Windows XP SP3 Ophcrack Hirens Boot 9.6 Boot from hard disk The problem is insert UBCD4Win Posted by balder on Oct. 25 2008,05:12
Hi ManicBut what changes did you do to txtsetup.sif, setupldr.bin and easyboot\disk1\ezboot\w2ksect.bin file Did you made necessary hex edit to this files (using caps to name BART) ![]() To be sure concerning structure: You did copy folder i386 from inside of UBCD4Win\BartPE to EasyBoot\disk1 and renamed i386 to BART and done hex edit to mentioned files (using caps=big letters not bart) ![]() The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 25 2008,05:21
Before I renamed the folder in UBCD4Win BART and after 'I copied disk in EasyBoot Using 's utility EasyBoot I replaced i386 in BART files bart.bif, Setupldr.bin, TXTSETUP.SIF EasyBoot menu and I entered the command run bart.bif Posted by balder on Oct. 25 2008,06:17
Hi ManicIf your structure looks like this (BART structure only showed) EasyBoot\disk1\BART\system32, setupldr.bin, txtsetup.sif etcetera inside of folder BART(original i386) In EasyBoot\disk1\ you have all other folders, files and ‘identfiles* etcetera If you have done this, your BART should start up with out any problems I can’t help you at this point, if you have done everything right and it still doesn’t work, well not much I can help ![]() Why not test with only BART (UBCD4Win) and skip other system folders (and files). Only set-up a test with folder BART doing necessary hex edit to files etcetera and see if you can make it run? The future is already here! I want to insert him/it with Easyboot together with: Hiren's Boot cd Windows XP SP3 Ophcrack Then to insert L' iso UBCDWin I must modify the briefcase I386 procedure described above, but it doesn't work. .............. Help. .......... Posted by balder on Oct. 25 2008,14:59
Hello again ManicLooks okay, but what about the “bin-loader file” (w2ksect.bin or what name you changed it to) that resides in easyboot\disk1\ezboot? You must hex edit this too (change occurrences of I386 to BART inside here). Is this done ![]() The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 25 2008,15:13
I have made the test apart without only using that is easyboot modifying the sio UBCDWin but the error appears CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR Posted by balder on Oct. 25 2008,15:42
Hello again ManicI have created download for you with hex edited setupldr.bin and bart.bin file. Put bart.bin file in easyboot\disk1\ezboot folder and use command: run bart.bin Put setupldr.bin in your renamed folder (bart) I cannot provide you with txtsetup.sif file because this one is directly related to your personal type of build (bartpe). Here is a link with the 2 mentioned files: link removed by balder The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 27 2008,11:00
Always the same error:CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR Posted by balder on Oct. 27 2008,12:54
Hello again ManicTry this: 1. Copy every file and folder from inside of UBCDWin\bartpe to easyboot\disk1 (don’t copy folder bartpe only files and folders from inside of bartpe folder) 2. Rename folder i386 to BART 3. Copy bart.bin (from downloaded zip-file) to easyboot\disk1\ezboot 4. Copy setupldr.bin (from downloaded zip-file) to easyboot\disk1\BART and overwriting existing setupldr.bin in folder BART 5. Do not change anything in txtsetup.sif. Leave it as it is = no changes. Open txtsetup.sif (using notepad) and check that setupsourcepath in txtsetup.sif is this: "\" Create menu command run bart.bin then test this ISO. I was thinking in wrong direction ![]() ![]() But UBCDWin is basically the same concept as BartPe or reatogo or Winternal ERD. This “Live” versions of windows should not have their txtsetup.sif modified in any way ![]() The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 28 2008,01:18
I have seguto to the letter the instructions, but oddly it departs me the installation of win xp instead of UBCDWin. .....

Hello again ManicYou first tested this and it went well? 1. You then copied folder i386 (WinXP) to easyboot\disk1 and kept folder name i386 as it is. You used a fresh copy of w2ksect.bin) to easyboot\disk1\ezboot (you may rename this file to whatever you want but don’t hex edit it). You used command: run w2ksect.bin to start setup of winxp (folder i386) And when you started BART (run bart.bin) this instead started setup of winxp folder (i386) ![]() This isn’t possible ![]() I want to add following notes… I just tested BartPe together with WinXP-sp2 setup. I followed my tutorial to every point I renamed bartpe (folder i386) to bart in easyboot\disk1 and used files from downloaded zip-files according to tutorial to make necessary changes to bartpe. Used command in easyboot: run bart.bin I then copied folder i386 from my WinXP-CD to easyboot\disk1 and used a fresh w2ksect.bin (renamed this to setupxp.bin) used command in easyboot: run setupxp.bin Works perfect ![]() I even tested checking “Optimize” and this reduced size of built ISO a little bit (but not much) and this went as expected (very well) ![]() Note: I tested this from ISO and not from any USB device The future is already here! Hello again ManicMmmm… ![]() I don’t now if your illustrated picture shows something wrong, but to my eyes it looks that folder BART has the name EART or is it just some scratches in picture so I see wrong ![]() Mmmm or maybe something wrong with my glasses. Please check that you renamed BartPe folder (i386) to BART and not to EART ![]() Aaaa picture shaped up and you do use right name, sorry What source did you use to build UBCDWin The future is already here! Cmd and I have the plugin working is just the start' iso alone ubcdwin that works both for dos but ubcd once put in EasyBoot gives me the usual error ...... Help ........... Hello again ManicFinal test ATTENTION! You cannot (or not recommended) use WinXP-sp3 as source when building BartPe (including UBCD4Win witch uses BartPe approach). If possible first choose WinXP-sp2 as source and as second choice use server-2003 ---------------------------------------- Remove everything except folder BART (Note: best solution is to remake the whole process and only copy BartPe folder i386 (from inside of UBCDWin \Bartpe) to easyboot\disk1 and rename to BART and do the rest of necessary changes) create ISO and test. Don’t put in anything else to easyboot\disk1 only test with BART like this: 1. If this works okay (witch I think it does), well then I can’t do much to help you with this issue ![]() Note: I have downloaded and created folder i386 using UBCD4Win as “build engine” and copied folder i386 to easyboot\disk1 and followed my own tutorial to every point and this works like a dream. No problems ![]() The future is already here! Best wishes from balder Posted by Manic on Oct. 28 2008,07:48

Help. ...... Posted by balder on Nov. 02 2008,12:12
Hello again ManicSorry to say that I really don’t have a clue how to start Ultimate Boot cd. Isolinux can sometimes bee a hard nut to crack. Is there anybody else on EasyBoot forum that can create tutorial how to solve this issue? I can only recommend to use “Search” in EasyBoot and choose to>> “Search for Older” topics and see if you can figure out anything to use this way. Sorry, I’m not skilled in handling isolinux ![]() Anyway, nice that you solved those other problems that we have discussed ![]() The future is already here! Best wishes from balder |
