Idea is good.It is possible to modify Boot.ini file to load another file other than NTLDR (i.e. running BartPE on HD). If it can be booted like BartPE, it would be possible. I tried, but I didn't success ![]() I copied EZBoot directory to HD and also copied loader.bin file to root of the HD, and I changed the boot.ini file like below. After trying to boot PC stopped responding ![]() [boot loader] timeout=30 default=C:\ [operating systems] C:\ = "Windows 98 Command Prompt" C:\PEBoot.bin="BartPE" C:\Loader.bin="EZBoot Menu" When we select BartPE it loads PEBoot.bin file and uses another file that name PELDR and it works fine. I think, it will be possible to boot HD with EZBoot Menu ![]() Posted by xoben on Dec. 18 2004,08:30
There is a small utility named isoemu, you can grab it from < http://dw.ezbsys.net/isoemu.zip > .1) System Requirements . Windows NTLDR based system (NT/2000/XP/2003) . A FAT32 partition (Drive C:) 2) Usage (C:\ must be a FAT32 partition) . Extract isoemu.zip to c:\ . Add a line to boot.ini C:\IELDR="EZBoot Menu" . Copy the ISO image created by EasyBoot to c:\, rename it as mycd.iso . Restart your PC |
