I'm trying to make a mulitboot cdrom for multi unattended installation of Windows 2003 SP1.

Previously with Windows 2003, setupldr.bin size was 273 kb, now with SP1 size is 292 kb.
I used the same method to copy and edit setupldr.bin for checking winnt.sif references.
With new setupldr.bin from SP1, I always got an error message "ntldr is corrupt".
If i copy the old setupldr.bin from MS 2003, it is ok but I ve got another error "setup16.inf cannot be copied". I can continue the installation but i am not sure it is the best solution.

I used sigverif but setupldr.bin was not digitally signed.

Any suggestions ?

I have the same problem with setupldr.bin, if you change all i386 an I386 to the name of the folder tou will have the same problem "no NTLDR found" or else.

use setupldr.bin from original. in sp1, it also contains info on 64bit systems which is why you get errors

Excuse me for bumping, but the same thing is going on with Windows XP 64bit. I'm getting the same errors mentioned above and can't seem to get it to work.

I can use a setupldr from a 32bit OS, change it so it points to the right directory, and it continues but gives me an error on ntoskrnl.exe. Probably due to the fact that I'm using the old 32bit setupldr.

I'm out of ideas atm. If you look at the 64bit file, you can see that both AMD64 and I386 are used as installation directories. I tried just about any combination, but haven't been successful. Anyone?

I have started a new topic over at the MSFN forums. I will keep this forum informed of the results regarding multiboot of:

1- Windows 2003 Server SP1 (and 64-Bits Editions)
2- Windows XP 64-Bits Edition
3- Windows PE 2005
