Hi all,

My thanks go out to all the regular contributors of the forum for all the good advice that has got me this far with my little project.

I have made for myself a simple multi bootCD with UBCD & Acronis utilities. There were a few hiccups along the way but all my answers were available here.

However....

I am having a bit of trouble adding Hirens bootCD 7.0. I have tried a few different ways without success. The disk won't boot at all or when I select Hiren's it just hangs. I test all my stuff using qemus emulator if that helps.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello BraM!

Open “Hiren´s BootCD.iso” (use winrar) and save folder “bootcd” to EasyBoot\disk1
Again open  Hiren´s BootCD.iso  now using WinIso or similar program.
Save boot-information as  hirens.wbt  to EasyBoot\disk1\ezboot and use command: run hirens.wbt

Attention! As option, delete jo.sys (not io.sys) in hirens.wbt image to start hirens bootCD without delay.

Tested on Microsoft Virtual PC and in “reality” (CD/RW).

That’s it!

I just wanted to clarify some points for anybody else reading the reply from eureka that is also interested in adding Hiren's (or similar) to their project.

I used Ultra ISO to extract the folder “bootcd” to EasyBoot\disk1 [same result] - you could also use ISO Buster or similar.

Again, I used Ultra ISO but saved boot info with a .bif (default) extension [same result]

I used WinImage to edit the 1.44 floppy image and delete jo.sys [same result]

I hope that helps others to achieve the same result.

Once again... thanks to eureka
