I am trying to add Windows Millennium installation to my boot disc but the disc is not bootable. how do i run this? thanks for the help.

this doesn't want to work for me. is this really what autoexec is supposed to say

MSCDEX.EXE  /D:tomato /L:X

install.exe

what does mscdex.exe /D:tomato /L:X mean and is it really supposed to be tomato...that doesn't make sense to me. this is what I get for output

Hey, I figured it out for myself. sorry, i was looking to much into it all. where you have install.exe....it's setup.exe in my case. sorry about asking. I figured it out and all is working well. thanks for the help

Thanks for nice feedback. Anyway just to clarify some stuff…

“tomato” is just a “name substitute”. You may call it “potatoes” or “Pluto” or whatever. Note: Same name must be in “name substitute” in config.sys file. No need to change this.

And yes, I don’t now exactly what version of WinMe (or win98)-CD you are using. But as you pointed out: “it's setup.exe in my case”. Good point there. But in my case it is “install.exe”. No big deal, you figured it out your self…
