Hello Sany,
You said you made a full installation with help of this “Virtual Infrastructure” (WMWARE) just to se that it works as supposed. And then burned this ISO.
Well if bootsector and all other stuff worked in wmware it also should function from CD.
Just to be sure. Use right mouse button on the ISO-file and choose “open with”. Find path to Nero and let Nero open the ISO-file. Nero will now open up its window and ask if you want to burn this application. Just go ahead with it – it should work. Can’t se why it shouldn’t?
If you do have a CD-RW, use that instead of “one-way-CD”.

It seems that I'm facing a similar problem. I use Virtual PC2004. Burned DVD works fine in VP but in the real system just does not boot! Any ideas?

A moment ago I've just solved it!!! I still do not know, why it worked only in VP2000 but I tried to use CRDWIN to make a boot DVD. I burned DVD and... It worked on my real PC. Strange thing is it does not work on VP2000 any more It goes to boot menu, I choose win2000 instal and I'm geting something like "critical setup error" (I think somebody has mentioned this issue before). But who cares! It works on my real PC and that's all that matters!!!

Hi sany,
The question you must face is: How was the original ISO-file made? Second, how is the boot sector designed? (Priority should be to the first question).
Using NERO: Please use URL (showed in the end of these comments) as a preference, according to: “Make a bootable CD”. In your case it only concerns files that is necessary for getting your XP-boot-CD to function, and not the issue about “Slipstreaming“. Attention especially to: “Numbers of sectors” (must be 4). http://www.duspinnst.com/bootcd.htm
