i have a working easyboot'ed dvd with a 'boot 80' option to boot to the first hdd. is there a way of adding a command which boots to a usb drive? my bios doesn't support booting directly to usb devices.

also would it be different for what would be 'usb-zip' and 'usb-hdd' in some bios's? in my case it would be 'usb-zip' for a thumbdrive.

USB-HDD is a standard mode, USB-ZIP has specail requirements for partition and disk geometry.

USB-HDD is a standard mode, USB-ZIP has specail requirements for partition and disk geometry.

by that, do you mean USB-HDD would simply be boot 80 (assuming there were no other hard drives at all) or if it was the first in the boot order?


as for USB-ZIP would you have any more information on that, or any links? i have googled around but everything i turn up is on how to make a bootable usb stick, not how to boot to it from a cd menu if the bios doesn't support it. i'd really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

You may try 'boot 0' if your BIOS assigns floppy drive A: to USB-ZIP devices.
