Hi -
This tool has worked fantastic for me for a number of ISOs. But with Active Bootdisk, it doesn't see my registration key properly like it does if I boot the ISO direct to a virtual machine. I found the following old link:

But I don't see a ...\EasyBoot\disk1\ezboot directory. Can you advise on the best way to integrate this ISO?

Yes this is common to later versions of Active BootDisk (which by the way is an excellent choice to have in your arsenal of tools)
It can be solved but is a little bit complicated 
To make it work, we need to insert the correct 'BOOTDISK.KEY' into file 'BOOT.WIM' inside ISO-file
This means you must 'mount' BOOT.WIM-file and overwrite existing BOOTDISK.KEY with correct user name and serial-key
And to 'mount' WIM-file I have a nice script that helps you.
Attention! If run Win7\8 you must set UAC (User-Account-Control) to lowest setting and reboot computer while using script and then reset setting of UAC when finished 
1. Download script (zip-file) from HERE and extract to the root (harddisk C:)
Note: download can be a little bit 'bumpy'
Read also carefully 'READ_ME.txt' inside folder 'Mount_Wim-files'
2. Â Launch (double-click to WinBuilder.exe) and point to script 'Mount WIM-file in WinPE'
3. Push on 'Start-button' in script and follow instruction that pops up (text-file)
4. Open folder ''C:\temporary_mount" and overwrite 'BOOTDISK.KEY' with the correct 'BOOTDISK.KEY' (with correct user name and serial number)
5. Leave ''C:\temporary_mount" (don't have that folder opened in Explorer or in any window - return to the root (C:) in Explorer.
6. Close text-file with instructions (script now 'unmount' WIM-file and cleans up)
7. Open folder 'balder_temporary' and open folder 'sources'. Use this modified 'BOOT.WIM'-file and overwrite existing in original ISO-file of the active-boot-disk-iso-file
8. Copy modified ISO-file to folder EZBOOT and use menu command: run activebootdisk.iso (or whatever name you use to ISO-file)

Is there a trick to get content into the c:\temporary_mount folder?
I did this on a Win 8.1 system:
- Found imagex.exe from Microsoft and place in c:\
- Pointed WinBuilder to a folder where I extracted a licensed WinXP SP3 (technet) ISO
It took a number of tries, but I finally got the temporary_mount folder to show up with data. I replaced the key as instructed, but when I closed the text file (which I presume recompiles the WIM) my machine blue screens each and every time.
I then tried the same process on a Windows 7 virtual machine I have, but now I can't get anything to show up in the temporary_mount folder. I don't know if it matters, but I do see data in c:\balder_temporary, including the bootdisk.key.
Thoughts?

What is this
WinXP is an NT5-system and has no WIM-file whatsoever (typical NT5-systems are, Win2000\Server-2003 and WinXP all editions)
But NT6-systems do use WIM-file (typical NT6-systems are; Vista\Win7\Win8\server-2008 etcetera)
Note: active-boot-disk-5 and later are built from NT6-source and hereby use WIM-file 
Could you please open folder 'Help' inside folder 'Mount_Wim-files' and double-click to 'Help-file.html' (it is a flash-movie and you need flash movie installed to your computer which I'm to 99,99% are sure you already have installed)
Note: I currently run Win8.1 - a system by the way I hate  Â (thinking about changing back to Win7  )
Anyway, I tested this and it worked excellent to mount and recompile (as you called it) the wim-file
Please take a close look into flash-movie and see if it works better for you 
Note: also if possible, do it from your 'real system' (Win8.1)

Thanks for the help, and sorry for any confusion I'm causing. I watched the video, and believe I'm executing the steps correctly.
My reference to Windows XP was - when I first launch WinBuilder.exe, it asks me for the location of Windows XP source files (it actually recommends SP2). So I extracted an XP SP3 iso to a folder, and pointed it there. I believe this is the same thing that I can find when hitting the "Source" button in WinBuilder. Note it only prompts me for XP source the first time I launch it. I believe it saves the path for future launches. Should I be pointing it to something different?
On Windows 8.1:
Unfortunately when I reach point where I've changed out the key file in temporary_mount and close the text file to initiate the recompile of the WIM, I get blue screen of death and the computer reboots. I've tried running WinBuilder as admin, as well as tried using Windows 7 compatibility. Not sure what else I can try to get around this, but I think this whole process would work fine if it weren't for my machine being a pain and giving me the blue screen.
On Windows 7 Virtual Machine
This is where I don't get files in the c:\temporary_mount folder. I opened up your balder_mount.bat and found this command:
C:\imagex /mountrw c:\balder_temporary\sources\boot.wim 1 C:\temporary_mount
If I run a command prompt as Administrator, I get the following (ignore bad line wrapping):
C:\Windows\System32>C:\imagex /mountrw c:\balder_temporary\sources\boot.wim 1 C:
\temporary_mount

c:\balder_temporary\sources\boot.wim
C:\temporary_mount
Sorry to be a pain on this, please advise if whatever I may be doing wrong is obvious.

Yes you are correct, but just ignore this or set a 'fake path' to 'muzzle' WinBuilder
Note: WinBuilder is basically a 'script-engine' (a very good script-engine in my opinion)
It is easy (in my opinion) to create some scripts and this way 'make life easier'

Also virus-program can create problems - have that in mind
Note: I have tested scripts on WinXP\Vista\Win7 and finally Win8.1 (my favourite hate object of OP-systems - second hate object is Vista)
I currently run an  i7 processor (3,7GHZ Water cooled) and 16GB RAM and with Windows_8.1 as OP-system
In the beginning nothing in WinBuilder could be run correctly - and here is a twist for you to read carefully  :
If run Win_8.1 (or Win8.0) the UAC cannot be disabled in same way as in Win7 (set UAC User-Account-Control to lowest setting)
In Win8.1 you must do more read HERE
Of course you can reset this setting back to original
However in my case this was wonderful as it make all metro apps stop working, which made me jump really high of happiness
I do hate Win8.1 but I hate metro apps in this system even more, but its now gone and UAC completely disabled - hurray, hurray....
I think your problem is related to the UAC
Further more, I doubt you can solve this by run it in virtual environment (perhaps if disable UAC in that 'virtual system' for a while)
I do think this is the 'hart of the matter' in this case

No you are not a pain - you redirected me to better respond to this issue (the UAC problem in Windows8\8.1)
Its easy to forget what Changes I was forced to do to my own system, before it finally worked as I wished
