Topic 1: ---------- Original "Microsoft.Diagnostics.and.Recovery.Toolset for XP (MSDart 50)" CD boot OK. When booting up :
Select the Windows installation you want to repair : C:\Windows Microsoft Windows xp Professional, Service Pack 3 (None) None - Do not attach to a Windows installation
Keyboard: Chinese (Tradintional) - US Keyboard Time zone: (GMT+08:00) Taipei
I can select "OK" to continue ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Topic 2: ---------- Easyboot "MSDart 50" when booting up : In "Register net component" , it shows : Factory.exe Failed to install network.adapter -- check WINBOM
Select the Windows installation you want to repair:
? I dont't know why it can't check my Windows XP here ?
Keyboard: US Time zone: (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada); Trjuana
The "OK" button was dimmed , and can only press the "Restart" button -----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's very strange why the Easyboot MSDart50 fail to boot !! I use the same computer but different CD to boot .....
My steps : ------------- 1. I use UltraISO to extract all the MSDart content to "C:\EasyBoot\disk1" with command "run w2ksect.bin" (that boot fail like above mentioned)
or
2. Use UltraISO to load the MSDart50 boot "MSDart50.bif" to "C:\EasyBoot\disk1\ezboot" with command "run MSDart50.bif" (that boot fail like above mentioned)
Please help

Hmmm… I’m a little confused here You should not extract anything as you can run ths “WinPE-Live”-system directly from ISO
Anyway… As far as I know MsDart50 is the same as ERD7, which is based on folder i386 (this is a “NT5”-system). Here you have the “old standard method” to integrate “ERD7” (MsDart50) only useable on CD/DVD not for USB.
For MsDart50 (ERD7).
1. Extract everything from ISO to folder disk1 2. In EasyBoot use menu command:  run W2ksect.bin  (you must have W2ksect.bin in folder ezboot) or you can extract boot file from ISO using UltraISO (as you did).
Note: Do not check “Allow lower case” when creating ISO. If you - by some reason need to check “Allow lower case” - then run easyboot-uppercase.script to do uppercase to folder and file names in folder “disk1”.
When launching MsDart50, do not activate “network” as “the system” (Factory.exe) seems to having problem to find your network driver on that particular computer. Unfortunately this is not any odd problem – it pops up time to time for some users. Note: I never use “network”, as my target is the computer with “the problem” - and not some “alien” server - or whatever, therefore no need for “network support”
Best method (from my point of view) is to use easyboot-iso.script and launch ISO as it is (not extracting files). This method is also very easy to adapt to USB

-------------- Download complete set of scripts including help file HERE Note: Script collection updated 2019-05-19. Scripts mainly support EasyBoot_6.5 or later

Hello balder
Thanks for your tutorial. I made MSDart50 successfully.
I use Winbuilder_Complete ... Easyboot-Live with name "DART50" and command "run DART50.bin"
I'll end up this topic. Thanks a lot.
